Kids certainly donít need an excuse to dress up as their favourite superhero, but the Heroes and Heroines Fundraiser is the perfect opportunity to don a costume for a great cause.
Come dressed as Batman, Superman, The Flash, Wonder Woman or your favourite superhero, character or heroine Ė or just comes dressed as yourself Ė itís all in the name of charity.
The Heroes and Heroines Fundraiser will take place on Saturday, 29th July between 2:30pm and 4:30pm at Dome Cafť in Osborne Park. The fundraiser will raise money to feed 200 children living at Heritage Childrenís Centre in Uganda, which struggles to meet daily needs for its residents.
The centre was established in 2008 by local pastor Moses Katende in partnership with Dreamlife Church in Perth. The Uganda Project subsequently began as a way to provide an education of children who are cared for at the centre and also provides for their basic needs including housing, meals and clean water, clothing and school supplies.
The fundraiser may be an afternoon of fun for the kids, but itís a wonderful way to support the less advantaged in the world. There will be appearances from superhero favourites Spiderman and Wonder Woman, along with live entertainment for kids aged two to seven years, including music and dancing with Rhythm Nest, plus face painting and balloon artistry.
Tickets are available NOW until Friday, 21st July and are $50 for a family of two adults and three children, or $30 for a family of one adult and up to three children. Extra child tickets can be purchased for $5 each. To buy tickets, click here.
Mums and dads tickets are all inclusive with coffee and cake for parents and lolly bags for the kids. Mums and dads can sit back and relax while the kids are entertained in an enclosed area. There are great raffle prizes to be won Ė all for a fantastic cause.
